blown head possibly?

Nick
Blown, hhmmm! Do you mean you can't keep water in the engine?
Or, you can't keep it running?
Giving the forum as much information as you can, makes an easier job for the forum to help!
What is happening? How does it run? Any symptoms, etc!
Is it new to you? Did you run it out of water? Overheat it?

I need to check the coolant it was hot when I was going to
check. I started it yesterday and took it down the driveway at
the end it did a little knocking then white smoke started
coming out of the oil fill tube. We towed it to the barn started
it the smoke still came out but less of it. I started it today and
it sounded different then started and sounded OK but white
smoke was coming out of the muffler. I checked the dipstick
and it as a little gray wiped it then stuck it back in and it
looked fine. So I'm not sure what's wrong

Compression test would be a starter. If low compression and a squirt of oil don't help, likely the head or head gasket. Steam in the exhaust. Water in oil would be a good sign but possibility's not just limited to blown head.

I think the compression is the same and my oil pressure gauge does not work at least I don't think it does

White smoke from the exhaust is water/antifreeze in the combustion chamber.
It is quite likely the head gasket, but a compression test should reveal that. Two cylinders with low compression together (along with the white smoke), is a good indicator.
Post back with your findings.

Fill the radiator with water, make sure it's full.
Pull the spark plugs and let it sit overnight.
Hit the starter and see if water blows out any of the spark plug holes. Might be a gusher, might be just some mist, any at all and the head needs to come off and see whats going on.

This is just an easy preliminary test. But if it's blowing white smoke (steam) it will probably show up in the cylinders.

fix your oil gauge first. you shouldn't be running any engine not knowing if you got oil pressure. When checking compression, you check it with a gauge screwed into the spark plug whole. Then you know what the compression is, and not just think its O.K. I might suggest that you have a mechanic look at it. A blown head or bigger problem might not be something you want to tackle.

I went out and looked the bowl was leaking and dripping in and around the dipstick. I think the gas might have gotten into the dipstick hole an thought maybe the water in that was the white smoke

O.That would not cause white smoke to come out of your exhaust or your breather nor would it make your oil milky or make your tractor get hot and sputter. I would agree with others that you have some internal issues with your engine weather it be head gasket, cracked block or a cracked head it is going to need addressed.gas will thin oil down and make it smell like... gas but not make it milky or gray as you say.
