Out our dining room window, old and young came over, only the young one showed back up with his lunch and landed. Both flew over our tractor shed. Thinking about scoring some music for the eagles. What a swell sight to look at every other bird and squirrels vamoosed when he showed up.Goodness wins out every time. Thought you might enjoy the pictures.Spring is on its way.

Dan50,
Thanks for the kind reply, thats what we thought was a small squirrel or a large mouse. He enjoyed it for a while then flew off,but we had atleast 4 other adults(white headed eagle) flying around today. Sure scared all the wild turkeys and squirrels off while he was here.
Regards,
LOU

Frank 41,
They sure are beautiful to watch. On M to Rice lake they built a nest on a pole( was left for them by elec Co.) there is always a pair that nest there every year. They usually have one or sometimes two babies a year. I always enjoy looking for the when I go that way. Thanks for the nice reply,

teddy52food,
Can't really see the good in that, they are quite remarkable, able to see mice from 1k ft up. They are good for dead carcass removal, get rid of snakes, mice, other rodents, plus I think they are still our national bird, I myself wouldn't even dream of shooting one,but to each their own.

No eagles around my neck of the woods yet. But I welcome the Red tailed hawks and the owls. Between them and my dogs, they keep the rabbits and mice down around my place.

The birds do get a few of my baby chicks and ducks every year, but in the long run, loosing a few is a good investment compared to the damage the rabbits do to my nursery trees.

I have seen one Bald Eagle approximately 15 miles from here, cant wait for them to move it too.

Rick.I've heard of turkey farmers having an over abundance of Eagles as well. Still all and all they're a beautiful bird to watch in flight, and I feel I am blessed for such a close visit. Thank you for such a nice reply.
