And didn't get thrown out of either state!

Even played at Hooter's casino this afternoon and got lucky.

I walked that Tillman bridge a few years ago, January after it opened.....fantastic view- what, 800 feet above the Colorado river? Guy could parachute off of it. I hope they enlarged the parking lot....and my bones didn"t appreciate the long walk just to get to the bridge. Couldn"t do the steps, so did the back/forth ramps. Got to the middle (State line) and the better half says she"s going all the way across. (rats!) So I did too, but it took awhile. Videos of 1930s dam construction are so interesting.

Didn't want to say anything cause H day is done.

Might have some V day pictures though.

Interesting...the "chalk" lines on Lake Mead, ahead of the dam...about the same level we saw a few years ago, with lake level down.

I read that they built the dam during one of the wettest times ever and that it may be full on very rare occasions if ever.

That overpass was not there when I was working in Vegas from 07 to 09, but it was being built. A very neat area, the desert.

You should go up to the end of the lake. The former town of St. Thomas is now uncovered and you can walk down there and look around. We were there a couple of weeks ago...it is very interesting. It is amazing what has happened to that lake in the last 10 years....scary too.

I was there when you could see Ironworkers up on that new bridge working. The parking cost alot of money and as I remember the museum was a rip off too. Nice country though.

You got lucky at Hooters?...oh you mean the casino. (lol) Those are some super pictures.

My Grandfather worked there as a Truck Mechanic during the construction years , he left me a very thick photo album , but very few captions , and no pix of the shop ! If only......

I saw it a few years ago. wife was at a seminar in Vegas and I took the bus tour. Very impressive, but the tree huggers wouldn't let us build one like it today.
