Helping out the neighber

Well I got myself into a job today that I told my dads neighbor I would do to help them out. Her dad passed away about 18 months ago and the guy that was farming the place said he would clean the barn out and load and spread the manure on the field, Been saying this for 4 years. He is not farming the place now for this and other reasons.

Well its a nice day, Warm with a nice breeze and dry ground so I figured a few hours I will have it done. Drove the skid steer down walked back and got the 1550 and my Case 95 manure spreader and headed down the road to start on cleaning out the barn. Well 7 hours later and 24 heaped loads I got the barn cleaned out. This is the most manure I ever loaded out and hauled and spread by myself in my life! (I cant wait till tomorrow morning as I can already feel it). As I got ready to leave she and her mom came out and wanted to pay me for the work I did, I told them you don't owe me anything cause I am just helping them out. That's what neighbers do for each other. I may have bit off more than I wanted to chew saying I would do this for them, But I said I would do it and I did and got it done. Funny thing I didn't mind doing it at all. Bandit

Sometimes we bite off a little more than we anticipate Most of the time it is appreciated, sometimes not, but either way, you can rest easy at night knowing you did the right thing. One cannot have too many good neighbors.

Last summer I got into a job that got a lot bigger than I anticipated. I thought that I was just going to spread out about 25 yards of sand right behind the pile but it turned out that it needed to go about 100 yards away. So it went from pushing to transporting.

Did same thing young couple lives down the road went and disc there ground for oats and a little free advise with calves . they have 2 great kids and doing a good job with them and in todays society thats hard to do .i really like watching those kids dive in and get chores done and why dont more kids do that? so its nice to give them a hand.
They also helped me out when i had surgery.maybe a lesson to learn is we teach by example

Good for you helping a neighbor! It;s even more fun when 2 or 3 or the local guys get together and do it.

Integrity and respect...two things that seem to be lacking in a lot of people these days, BUT, you have both Brandit! "You're a good man, Charlie Brown" I wish a had a neighbor like you!!

Has to make you feel good inside, even though tomorrow you may be a little sore. Good to have neighbors like you.
