Massey TO-35 D Deluxe Hydraulics

I recently changed hydraulic fluid and removed the PTO cover and lever to check for a filter to clean. Since then the PTO is not working right only working as if it is in the Ground position no matter what position I set it in. I know that I must have the fork assembly out of place but don"t know for sure how it hooks up on the pump. Can anyone help? Thanks

If you remove the side inspection plate again, you will see the groove in the gear. The leg of the lever should be in this groove. Second pic shows it installed and looking in from the dipstick side.....Sam
