Anyone noticing more than normal? I was out all day in a hot dusty corn field and they were making me nuts. Always finding a spot I didn't spray. I have never seen so many and out in the open during the day. Go near the woods and clouds of them come after you.

Terrible near Traverse City! The local news has had a couple stories about them this year, saying all the snow that turned into standing water is a factor.

Mosquitos are the worst I remember here! Clouds of them everywhere you go around the house and yard.. Here in central southern Michigan a few miles east of Stockbridge.

The mosquitoes in central Minnesota were a little late arriving this year, but they are making up for it in numbers already. There is a lot of standing water and it's raining again today.

You can't be too far off the route I take home to Branch county from my sons in Brighton. "Back Way" through Pinckney, Gregory, Munith down to Jackson. then some county roads home.

I live near Howell, and there is a cloud whenever we go out. We like to hang clothes out to dry, but we are using the dryer instead. Even the dogs don't want to go out.

Lubbock, Texas. After four years of practically no rain, we have six inches last week and now there are millions of these hungry little pests. 24/7 too.

Here on the east side of Muskegon county you can not be in the yard without spray. I tried putting a new belt on the lawn mower last weekend and nearly needed a blood transfusion by the time I was thru.

I haven't noticed more than usual. Gnats are bad and ticks are too. I think they come in on my clothes and then find their way to us. I've had two that got attached and several that I felt crawling. We never had ticks in Michigan growing up. Where did they come from?

Yes all the bugs are bad this year. For some reason they like to go in my ears. I carry a hair net device I got from wal-mart sporting goods in pocket, to put over head. I always wear long pants. After too much sun in Florida, I even have wear long shirt in summer or I get a sun rash, usually white. Then the critters find a place on neck to attack.

I remember going to a Thousand Trails campground near Leavenworth, eastern Washington years ago- sign at the check-in hut said "Don't roll windows down! Show membership card through window." The guy had a full bee-keeper outfit on, and cases of insect repellent, which he gave you if you didn't have any. I'd never seen so many BIG mosquitos- the repellent worked pretty well, especially after we went back and re-sprayed the areas that the skeeters showed us we missed (between the toes, and palms of hands, for instance). Made for a pretty miserable campout, though.

Saw a couple of clouds of them at my place yesterday, which is kind of unusual. Our variety isn't very aggressive, though.
