Does anyone live near Royersford? In the 1960 timeframe, there was a company(AMF) that sold inexpensive table saws, belt sanders and other wood working equipment. I need some replacement parts. Only thing I find on google is AMF bowling and sports equipment. any help is appreciated

I believe AMF owned Harley Davidson for a while in the seventies. They just about broke the company with low quality.
I think they made toys and such also. I have an old pedal car from the seventies made by AMF.
I doubt if you would ever be able to get parts from them , they are long gone. I would keep my eyes open at swap meets and on eBay .

AMF tools was, I believe bought out by DeWalt. AMF also produced the Ski Daddler snowmobiles back in the early seventies.
 
I had a few tools made by them. It was good stuff for the price, not high quality. Most of the wear items were bronze bushings that you should be able to find at a hardware. I'm still using one of their belt sanders, works fine for me, and has for 40 years.
 
Ski Daddlers were made in the 60s as well. Had a gray line and a orange lin. My Dad got a orange one in 68
 
AMF also bought Airstream trailers in that era.
Just about ran them into the ground until Thor industries bought them and saved the company.
 
According to one website on old tools, AMF bought DeWalt in the late 1950s and sold it to Black & Decker in 1968. I think they said DeWalt was in Lancaster,PA.
 
AMF had a penchant for just about destroying every company they ever owned. Worked in their bowling pin plant in Lowville for about two years. They are pretty good at destroying employees, too. About everyone in that plant over 45 has a bad back or messed up shoudlers. The two years I was there eight employees "retired". Two of them made it to 62 and they weren't in very good shape. Nobody working on the line even considers working until 66. They did have a good 401 plan though. Much better than most.
