Wet Weekend

Well,,, it rained most of today.

I did get the MH44 out for a short drive yesterday. I wanted to finish splitting wood today, but no luck. It ended up being a shop cleaning weekend.

Let it rain here tomorrow! I don't need it,but I baled the hay that was on the ground today,so I really don't care so much now if it does.

I'm still waiting on a LOT of it. I've baled eight and a half acres now out of 130. I was right flat out of hay. I feed it in the bull pen and both feedlots and was down to where if I didn't bale today,I was going to have to feed some oat straw in that one lot tonight. The darned stuff was a little tough here and there, but it would have been a lot worse if it got rained on again tomorrow.

We have only had one period that has been more than 3 days dry in last month and missed that for baling.

I mowed all my first crop hay last week and baled it on Friday. The yield was good. Around 3 rolls per acre or about 2 1/2 ton per acre when full cured. I had the chopper ready if it did not dry enough last Friday to bake but the low humidity dried the hay even with some cloudy days.

There would have been zero chance this week with the rain and high humidity.

David how did you make out on you torque motor shaft? Was just the steering shaft bent?

I still find it amusing that your ADDING electronics to your tractor when I would pay good money to get rid of some of the electronics on my equipment.

Sorry guys to tell this but, Looking to start second cut haylage on the home farm on the 27-28 of June. Almost done dry hay and wet bales on other farm. I understand the weather has been tough for you guys all year. Bruce

Ya,I would imagine the big dairy will be cutting again pretty quick. We had a good dry week the last week of May. They were chopping while I was planting silage corn. We haven't been able to string three dry days together since.

I agree. Still waiting. Probably be real ripe by the time I get it.

I went up to my land this weekend.
Nice day Saturday but rained again yesterday so we left early.
Real wet in central MN.
Lake, river and swamps are real high this year.
Only had to mow about 1/2 of the lawn as the rest was under water.
