To me the big squares or the rounds are the idiot cubes. How the heck do you put them in the upstairs mow and then get them down again to feed in manger in barn? Had no ground floor storage for that, only upstairs and would not store outside for any reason. Sick of people calling them idiot cubes because they can be handled by hand and without a multy thousand dollar machine.

It looks fine for you but it looks like your helper is jumping on and off the wagon for every bale. Do you think that he will be back?

Sorry to hear you're sick. I quit handling small squares some thirty years ago now, and have made as much as ever handling the rounds with a simple $200 loader attachment. Plus, about four times more acreage WITHOUT HIRING HELP!!!!! No wonder they call them 'idiot cubes'. You have to have idiots to handle them.....

I don't know whether Leroy is sick or not,but if you round baler people are willing to lose half or better of your hay crop each yr,then that is fine too.The only good ones using rounds NEVER let the bales see any outside air after it is baled, but they have $$$$ tied up in buildings and equip.plus labor to manage all this. If you want to sell any hay, then you can get more money from 5 or 6 70# bales(idiot cubes)then a 1000#-1500# round,if you can even sell the round.
