Farm auction today, next door

Older couple next door had a farm equipment auction today. 180 Massey $3900, 1080 Massey $4200. , Landdine Blizard with 1000hrs, $24,000. I bought a 30 ft auger, a bushhog mower and a 4 furrow siemi mount plough, all for $1990. Not very often in ones life will you go to an auction sale right next door to your home farm. Bruce

Went to one a couple years ago. Could have walked, but it was a drizzly day, and wanted all the shelter I could get!

The only thing I was interested in was a transport auger. I could get a new one in the $4000- $4100 range. Some guy paid $3900, and I assume had to haul it quite a ways, as I didn't know him.

Same thing happened right up the road here about 4 years ago. I had to make 3 trips. Would have been 4,but I borrowed his son's trailer for one trip. I bought an Oliver 1600 parts tractor,a New Holland 354 grinder/mixer,a Gehl silage blower,an aluminum elevator and more junk off the jewelry wagon than anybody should ever buy,on that one.
