I was wondering if anybody pulls a Airstream RV to tractor shows or just vacation. Me and the wife are in the process of redoing one . It is a lot of work .

Airstream is a classic icon of pull type travel trailers, just ask members of the Wally Byam Caravan Club (or whatever its called) and those who attend their rallys. Sure they are expensive to restore but you really have something when finished. No, I haven't attended Tractor Shows or Bluegrass Festivals or National Parks in an Airstream, but have done so many times over in a Motorhome which I love and enjoy.

Good luck with it, send us pictures, best wishes and safe travels

I have a 1962 28 foot we use when fishing and hunting because the war department does'nt want her 5th wheel stunk up. The fish and game don't stink, the aftermath of men eating sardines and hot links and drinking beer stink according to her.
Either way the thing has never leaked and the kids did an acid wash that made it shine like new a few years ago.

Yes.
But not often, far or fast.
I move my 1975 27' Overlander a couple of times a year to mow under it.
The first photo was taken a couple of years ago.
The second one was last weekend.
I don't know if you are familiar with it but there is a great AS forum at the link below.

I was at a race one time and the then owner and big boss of a racing league whose name I won't mention, bought one for his wife for her birthday and had it delivered at the championship last race of the season. It was accompanied by a matching fully dressed out 4x4 Dodge extended cab dually, interiors done in matching burgandy leather or naugahyde and all the trim. Quite a setup. We were told at the time that it was about a $100K combined setup, birthday present, and it probably was. They brought it into the infield drivers/owners lot where the car owners and real big shots parked their motorhomes, and the owner's motorhome driver washed, waxed, cleaned it all up for him to give to her for her birthday, which he did. "Happy Birthday!". She walked through it, they closed it up, and someone drove it from that track to the Indy track, where according to the Indy fellas, it got used once and then parked on the back of the property where it sat for years, never used again. For all I know, it might still be there.

Airstreams sure are nice, and I'm going to guess or bet that yours is nicer than the newer ones. Much good luck in your restoration. Things always seem to mean more to the owners that work and work hard for them, and I'm certain that yours will have earned its love, respect, care, and upkeep.
