Tx Jim and others Kubota ???

Tx Jim and others. If I have my people and place correct you are or were a Kubota dealer. I am going to go look at a Princeton piggyback fork truck used. It is a 1984 with 1380 hours on it. It has a 3-cylinder Kubota diesel in it. I do not have a model # yet. Do those engine from that era have a good reputation or any week points?

Thank,

Send a shout out to "jm". He's been a Kubota dealer for 28+ yrs and is very helpful.

I had a 1986 B-8200 19 HP that I put 1,100 hours, on some of them very hard, and had no problems whatsoever.

Right across the board the three cylinders are great little engines. Nothing really to watch for except in the bobcats where they mounted the radiator wrong and we saw overheating quite often. Don,t let the engine keep you from buying the rig. Run it till war idle it down and listen for noises and check for blow by . Not uncommon to see those hours run 4 thousand hours and in refer rigs see some with 8 to 10 thousand hours. E mail open if you have questions

I have a Kubota Diesel mower with that engine. Its a 92 with 2900 hours. Just changed the oil and filters is all I've done to it.
I have had a 2150,7800, and currently have a B3000 also. They have all been good tractors with no motor problems. Although I haven't been over 2000 hours with any of them.
My son has a stump grinder in his business that has a 40 hp. Kubota Diesel. They work the heck out of it and its held up good.

Thanks guys, I thought they were pretty much bullet proof. But I wanted to double check. I am taking two of my tractors this weekend to our local show at Jacktown. I will make arrangements’ to look it over this week.
