Sandblasting / sand or glass beads ?

I have cheap cabinet type sandblaster. I cant get all the moisture out of the air. Thinking about trying glass beads. Anyone use them. Are they better than sand ? THANKS

Glass beads aren't as agressive as sand. They can't take high p.s.i. or they turn into talcum powder. I think the upper limit may be 60 p.s.i. if I am rembering right.

I have a 100 ft hose from the comp to the pot i coil the line in water to cool the air before getting to the pot then have a moisture collector before the pot stops the hi-moisture problem

like Gene said, you have to condense that moisture out of the air BEFORE it gets to the trap/dryer. Even 25' of hose coiled up will do it if hung in cool place or laid in a kids wading pool of cool water. You would only need to do that if blasting as it takes so much air volume. Ordinarily you can just hang the coil on the wall.

I'm guessing you have the same unit sold by TSC and others under several different names. Mine clogs up in the pickup tube quickly. Add an elbow to the open end to bring it up above the abrasive level. Add holes to the tube if it doesn't pull enough sand.
