Well fellows I am looking for a corn farmer that farms dry land to see what hybrids he uses I figure if it will grow there It might work on some of my rough ground here on the glacier morain in Illinois

That's on full no-till, we only rip terrace channels and grain cart paths.
You can get more yield this year out of a longer-season hybrid, but your yield suffers next year if you do.
McCook averages about 25 inches of rain a year.
We don't have rocks. I only miss rocks when it rains.

Makes a big difference as to what part of Nebraska you are in. McCook is 3 weeks ahead of us, and 6 inches more moisture.
You get out in the Panhandle, they get 12 inches of moisture, and this year they have good looking corn. You go east, and I would guess they probably get close to 30 inches of moisture, on a "normal"year.

Well I know about the dealer recomandations used to be a dekalb dealer I am trying to think out of the box we have some pretty tough gravely clay fields that are realy hurt in dry weather so I am looking for a real tough sob hybrid
to try a little
