I was the grocery store today and I had 2 cans of blaster a jug of marvel mystery oil and some shop towels I went to a separate register to check out and the lady scanned the blaster and said uh oh do you have a drivers license I said I have a permit will that work? She called the manager over and asked her if that would work and she asked me if i was over 18 well on the permit it says under 16 and under 18 and has my DOB well my parents ended checking it out for me i thought it was funny the same thing happened at tsc with the blaster the people at Walmart said that kids were huffing the blaster and mystery oil just thought I'd tell the people here about this oh and i was buying these to help work on the Oliver 77

At TSC computer wanted my age to purchase tire plugs.Clerk looked at me,didnt bother to ask.It was obvious it has been 45 years since I was 18.What is dangerous about tire plugs?

The same thing happened to me at TSC. I tried to buy some dry silicone lube and went to check out. She asked for birth date(I'm 19). She said youre not old enough let me try mine. I would gues she was mid 20s. She wasnt old enough either. She finally put her dad's birthdate in and the computer OKed it. Must be some pretty bad stuff if you can drink before you can buy it

Sheesh, what has the world come to. At my age the only time my age is questioned is when I try for a senior citizen discount.

My wife and I were in a restaurant, and wanted to order an adult beverage with dinner. The waitress was carding everyone. When she got to me, I pulled on my long gray beard and said "My beard is old enough to drink". She grinned and went on. I got my beverage.

Tennessee has a new law (7/1) that requires a picture ID when buying an alcohol beverage no matter how old you look and how well the clerk knows you. Severe penalties for the clerk if they don't ask. I'm sure there will be an increase in smuggling in the state.

It's not the lube it's the propellant that they huff to get high.

Tire plugs come with a tube of GLUE to install them. They huff the fumes from the glue.

Letting a few kids fry their bodies as an example to the rest seems acceptable, until it's YOUR kid. Then you're calling the politicians to demand age laws and tougher penalties. You're calling personal injury lawyers to sue the manufacturer, the store that sold it, and anyone else you can find.

Before you say your kid is a good kid and they'd never do such a thing... EVERYONE says that, yet here we are getting carded to buy a can of WD-40. So someone's "little angels" are doing it.

They checked my ID buying Power Service diesel additive on Saturday.

For what that stuff costs, its cheaper to buy beer or a bottle of rum anyway!!!!

And I fully agree with mkirsch. If someone somewhere was huffing, drinking, or snorting it, we now get ID'd when we buy it.

Indiana went to that a few years ago. They fairly quickly backed off. It was irritating older customers and slowing down check out lines.

Thanks Larry its going good I got the cylinders soaking and I got a starter off a 770 and a Carb for it that needs rebuilt. Well its funny I went to auto one and they sold both of the products to me with no questions asked and its sadthat that this it what its coming to nowadays

A few years back, some enlightened youth huffing propane from a small 1 or 2 lb. Soldering tank. It was during the winter and their car windows were closed. This high adventure occured between a trash dumpster and the back wall of our local mall. The oldest (16 yrs) was the driver and decided to light a cigarette. The fireball blew out several windows, caught their hair on fire and caused severe burns.A passerby, thinking the mall had exploded, called the Fire
dept. Fireman arrived just as the four were attempting to fall out and were caught red-handed.

I use rubber cement to hold the paper patterns on glass while doing stained glass work.

Got carded when I bought rubber cement at Target.

60 year old man, carded for Rubber cement.

Ignorance gone to seed.
