Well, I'll keep it short and sweet! Here are some pictures of my new John Deere 2 x 12 trailed plow... Anyone know what model, approx. year, or any good info on it?

Also, a picture of the wagon that I just picked up. One of the guys in the local club made it for parades and such many years ago, and no one ever really used it.. I think that it is built on David Bradly running gear, but am not sure... So, I bought it, and now plan on stripping the railings and seats off of it, and using it as a bale wagon to pull behind my Farmall C and NH 68 Baler... Pretty cool, I think!

Those school bus seats sure come in handy. I would not be so quick to strip down the wagon. That wagon would be a real winner at plow days. People love to ride on them along side the plows plowing to get a good look.

Plow I think was model 40 and built for use with the orignal Fordson tractors but could have been used with ant with that wheel tread. That plow hitch is non adjustable for tractor width so have to be width of that Fordson and they were last sold in 39 and most Fordson tractors were sold in 19 to about 30 in the first Detroit and then the Irish models, Not many of the English Fordsons were brought over in the 30's.

Mom thinks that the wagon would be worth turning around and selling to someone? What do you guys think? I have another set of running gear that I could make a hay wagon out of, so I am not desperate for this one. Does anyone out there know of anyone that would be interested in it? If someone is please shoot me an e-mail! I would MUCH rather sell it to someone that would use it as a people hauler, rather than me strip it down for a flat deck..

Or, if anyone is interested in the benches, I am going to have a few to sell as well!!

Nice plow and wagon! I think it is a #40, here is some info out of my plow book. I wouldn't take seats off of wagon, lots of uses for it. I could have used one couple weeks ago to haul a wedding party from wedding to reception hall. Plus hay rides, plow day people mover, parades, rent it out to others that what it for some special event.

The gear is definitely an Electric. But pretty sure they sold those under DB as well. Got 2 Electrics on our farm, one was painted green and sold as and Oliver gear, similar to yours. The other is an 8 ton model with 6 bolt wheels.

Move the front end gate around to the back and mount it for the back of the bale wagon. When you mount it make sure it is tipped back so your load is always leaning against it. Makes it a lot better for the guy piling bales.

How much of a tip is required? I am planning on doing just that, and then running a 2 x 4 diagonally from the top of the rack down to about a 3rd of the way up the deck, that way the bales won't break the rack... :)

I am also planning on making it a little taller. How many ton do you think I can safely haul on that wagon? 2?

Another question is, where can I get parts for this plow? It has a broken Moleboard, but I THINK it can be fixed with some stock. Also it is missing one of the handles, and the other one appears to be bent slightly... :

Other than that it looks to be pretty good... There are a few things that are hogged out pretty bad, but I am sure I can just make new ones, and build the old ones back up.. Anyone have any good parts? Bryce
