Which of these tractors would you restore this winter

All good tractors, but with no other info to go on, such as current condition, I'd say 520 deere would be my choice.

The 2020 Deere, needs valve job and is leaking at hydraulic pump. Oh wait, that is on my list! LOL I am an Oliver man more than a Deere guy so the 70.

I'd restore the Case and the Oliver and scrap the 2-cylinders - wouldn't spend a nickel on those two!

Ask your wife! If she picks the project your life will be so much easier getting the job done. :)

Or you could come restore my Allis B for me.

Whichever one you want to restore.

Myself, I'd start with the 520 because it's the only one that could have a 3 point hitch and a live PTO. I suspect it would also gain the most value/loose the least for the dollars and hours you will invest in it.

The crawler would be more interesting to work on, but if track parts are needed it might get very expensive. Is there a strong resale on crawlers?

I like Oliver, but check the values of restored 70's before you start. The high cost of 40 inch rear tires seems to limit their value.

The crawler. It will also be the most expensive depending on the condition of the undercarriage.

Pretty pitiful list there. I'd have to agree with the crawler I guess. Being an Oliver guy I can tell you that unless the 70 is a family tractor with a lot of sentimental value,it isn't worth spit for resale. The DC,same thing as the Oliver as far as I'm concerned. I just bought a nice one for the tires off of it and resold it without rubber.
How many restored 2 cylinders does the world need? The 520 would be a nice little tractor, easy to haul to shows I guess. It would be my second choice to the crawler.

Had a 520 in the hayfield with a mounted 9' sickle mower on it, but I spent most of my time on the 530 with mounted double 7' in the summer. And a 630 was the main loader tractor until about 10 years ago. They never let me down. Smallest Oliver I've been around is a 660. Really did like it, used mainly on the dump rake and spent about two years on the v rake, but I was always "fiddling" with it a bit more. Not major stuff, just things here and there. Didn't matter if it was over 100 or -20, those Deere's pop right off. Can't say for "show", but for using, the Deere's would be my pick.

Just the deere's,the others have little value. Probably the G or 520.The dozers are money pits.

I've got a 70 industrial and I'm finishing a 70 Orchard , Hopefully these will give me some ROI....I do my own work so that helps.

For what its worth the other Olivers and MM's have been done already!!!! Cheers

The John Deere G's sell pretty good yet, the 520's are fair sellers, I don't know about the crawler. The poor Case and Oliver don't have much market unless you happen to find a guy who wants one and they are (the buyers) few and far between. For a "keeper" I'd try the G, they ain't no cheap toy but they have a lot of "character" and are a Putt-Putt for real. 520's are a "nice little two cylinder tractor".

Ya,those and an early unstyled Hart Parr Oliver 70. The styled Row Crops just won't be worth much more restored than unrestored though.

I'd like to see the craweler done up as I have one
Scrap the case of sh*t let it come back as something usefull

520 / G / 420 crawler / Case / Oliver... reasons , usefulness / value ( $$$ at resale vs $$$ invested) and market for resale in real numbers. This assumes they are all in comparable condition now.

Any tractor you restore and do correctly. The invest will be more then you can resell it for.

You restore a tractor for two reasons. One, because it's fun to bring it back to life. Two, just because you like it and enjoy owning it.

I have a 1948 Case Dc I want to restore. It's not worth what it will cost. It was sold new from my home town Case dealer. I also have the two row lister that came with it.

It would be cheaper to buy a different one. I want a Case from Westerburg Exchange the old Case dealer.

I'm more/less a Deere guy so I will limit my response to their models. Assume you are restoring for show purposes and do not have work for them to do. Restore the one to working condition if you have work for it to do.
Otherwise+
-520, easier to work on, parts not so heavy.
-G, if you tractor pull.
-420, is more unique but will probably be expensive to restore. Undercarriage, clutches add up to big money.

And the 520 first, the G second the crawler third with the oliver fourth and scrap the Case. Ran Deere A & B for years.
