Opinions on Oliver 550

I found this tractor on CL a little closer to home. Asking 5500 or best. Opinions?

Nice looking tractor but it is way too high in price. For the asking price you could get a newer Ford or MF that would be better than the Oliver 550. That Oliver 550 should be in the $3500 range.

Maybe a little high on the price but pretty darn good looking machine. The 550 is also about a 40 hp tractor too.

I looked at that tractor too. I think it is a lot of money based mostly on paint. Heaven only knows what is under the paint. You were looking for a working tractor, not a trailer queen. Just pay for what you need.

Doesn't look like it has power steering or remote hydraulics, and its gas. Nice looking tractor, but price is much too high. I think about $3,000 as equipped.
