Ok, so im kind of baffled here. Monday afternoon I went out and tried some corn. The cows were pushing on the fence reaching for it so I took 8 rows off one side of the field. That night I took a sample to get the moisture checked. It came in at 33%. That was not the elevator I will be taking the corn to so yesterday I took a sample from the same corn to the elevator it will be going to. They tested it at 38%, yikes how did that even make it through the combine.
I wasn't to happy with the 5% Difference in moisture from the same corn so I took the same sample to a friend a little ways a way to get checked again, it was 37. Ok that was the same so im not getting taken at the other guys place.
So I didn't have time to take that 100bu to unload yesterday so I dumped it in a wagon and stuck a small screw in fan into the wagon and let it run all night.
This morning I took it ad unloaded it, the moisture was 32.
What the heck is going on here? Did I get lucky and he took a sample from right where the fan was? I know it was wet because I had to shovel most of it out of the wagon, it wouldn't flow.
