Getting Closer to Another Tractor

Put an ad on CL looking for a tractor hauuler. Got four or five replies, so I have that part covered. Any precautions I should check out? All prices were reasonable from $75.00 plus gas to $300.00. I hope to get to Hofferberts's next week and Spudm has a couple for sale too. That's usually my problem with auctions--a way to get larger implements home.

Some general tips:
1) Never pay up front. Pay when delivered.
2) Make sure who's insurance is going to cover the hauled item. I carry insurance that covers as soon as I buy them. I have ten days to list the item after I own it.
3) Clearly spell out all the costs. SO much plus fuel is kind of opened ended. The hauler can say it costs what ever he wants. So agree on a set price before anything is loaded.

Where would the final destination be? What size tractors are you looking at? I know where hofferberts is, not sure on the other. Might be interested if not too long of a haul.

If you tell me point to point, I may be able to recommend a hauler. I have several I use either to haul for me or to handle loading on site. Last few years I have bought a lot of rust.
