Two way plows

(quoted from post at 09:33:18 11/29/14) Got to wondering, how many use two ways?Irrigated,or
'dryland'.Pics? thanks

I have 6 Allis Chalmers roll-over plows, but use this $900 Oliver...parts are easier to get. We irrigate, but not flood...I just like to keep the fields level.

I use this IH #39 tumble plow at our place and at our local show. These were very popular years ago in SE Colorado where I grew up but here in Kansas it is a real conversation piece.

I do. Everyone here does in fact. Almost all irrigated ground.
All the big guys have gone to switch plows, instead rollovers. The claim is they leave a more "finished" surface. Saves one pass with the disc.

We do here in SW WI to help with erosion control in the hills. Contour strips and plow everything up hill. IH 642 plow set at 4x16.

Never seen one in ground in the Ohio-Indiana area. All ever see is at tractor shows and where they get them I have no idea as they were not sold in this area.

We use a JD 4200 set at 3-18s on all our vegetable ground to keep it level and keep the soil from continually move down the slight hill. Only irrigation is drip under plastic. Most crops are direct plant.

Yes,I have a wide front SC.Acctually it 'belongs' to
my wife!LOL. She rakes hay and also shows and
parades it.
