Spotted this albino buck in the back yard earlier . My wife has seen him before and described him to me. Here he is .You can also see the corner of my 1826 New Jersey barn stone base.

Wow...that's pretty cool looking. A true albino would be completely absent of pigmentation so I don't know what you call that critter. A young boy killed a full albino buck not far from our place this past season. I think he was 11 years old. Heard a rumor he was receiving death threats for killing the deer.

We had an Albino come into the yard years ago. Pure white and Pink eyes.
Didn't taste any different than any other deer.

Disclaimer - I am not a hunter, I grow row crops. When game come near the gardens = I eat them or skin them for their pelts.

Educate me here, please... I thought albinos, by definition, lacked ANY pigmentation, and that fellow seems to have about half of his?

What's the term for THAT?

That's piebald deer. An albino would be completely white with pink eyes. Both are legal game in Michigan. They bring inferior grnes into the gene pool and would best be culled for the benefit of the herd.

The guys that posted piebald deer are correct. my wife had researched it when she saw it and wouldn't tell me the name. She said google it to see more pics of them.

Not all white deer are albino !! The ones with pink eyes are, the rest are just white deer. We in NY have a fascinating herd of these white deer. Google the white deer of the Seneca Army Depot for the full story..

That is one BRUTE of a deer! very mature! prolly 5-6+ years old. yes he is a Piebald. Please, keep an eye on him and give us an update on every now and then.
