Silver King serial number location

I have a Silver King 42(?) and need to find the serial number. Where is it located? Is there a serial number reference page for these?

I have some serial number info, but not were it is located. My book shows model numbers with a 42 in them is 342, 442.

On my model 41 it is on lower LH side of transmission housing (as sitting in seat), and on my dads R38 it is about the same spot, except on the RH side of transmission housing, below where belt pulley or belt pulley cover is. Don't know about a 42, but I think they are all in the same vicinity.

I see that you posted on the other classic tractors forum and that was wise. There is a club for silver king tractors which will give you info on serial numbers. I am not sure what model SK that you have.
