Freaky handle you got there, made me look twice! I have been watching the Decorah eagles all week getting their nest ready. Checked it just now and it is buried in snow. Last year there was frequently an eagle sitting on eggs under the snow. Too early this year still. Makes you think though...we are only about six weeks from some signs of Spring here.

I heard you guys and gals in central and eastern Iowa were going to end up with a fair amount. Here in my part of Northwest Iowa we have 3 or 4 inches of snow blown up into a few medium sized drifts. Nothing to write home about.

Dave chores where fun this morning. Shoveling out 1500 feet of feed bunks is just fun in this type of weather.

I am going to have to start blowing out drifts after lunch. Several of the cattle lots are drifting full on one side. I will have to throw the snow out or the calves will walk out.

I just love the wind and the below zero temps we are going to be getting.

It is a good thing that the boys are not sick now and the part time guys can help for the next few days.

Started all the generators yesterday to be ready if the electric goes out.

Just another FUN time in Iowa with livestock. LOL A least I don't have to milk any of the dumb things.

Picture looks a lot like around NW. Indiana. We have about a foot of snow on ground and still snowing. We have more snow piled up on trees because all of ours is coming straight down with no wind so far but say wind is going to pickup latter on.

We got a little here in Cherokee county, supposed to get up to 3" more today and the wind is at 25 to 35 mph.

Ten inches so far here in central Iowa, still snowing lightly.
Supposed to quit about 5 pm, ending up with about twelve
inches.

If my sis and BIL can get out of the airport in eastern Iowa they are headed for sunny Orlando for a couple of days. I'm jealous.

That looks exactly like her in N Illinois, when the wind is from the north east I'm in for a lot of grief, long side of house and long side of shop form a funnel with about a 25 foot opening onto a figure six driveway between 4 buildings, got to keep it plowed or I can't get out with my plow or blower.

The geese were flying north last week here in sw central Ia. Hope they found their nice spot there in Min.

What do you mean "go and feed the cats"?

We don't have snow here but my 2 are here - all the time

WIZZO, Is that a coke fire or a gas setup?
When I was in London, I thought a coke fire in the fireplace was the neatest thing. No smoke.
