Went to visit Mother-in-law's today and took the scenic route home, a couple roads I was never on. Saw some abandoned farms, quaint little villages, and a lot of woods in rural Clearfield county PA. With the snow on the ground it is obvious if a house has no one living in it and I was surprised at how many I saw, either they went south for the winter, are camps, or just no one wants to live that far in the boonies. The old hay press I'm surprised that no one had drug it away for scrap being right by the road, wonder what kind it is?

It's a shame that no one wants to fix up old houses anymore. The basic structure on most of them is pretty sound. All a person needs to do is strip the interior down to the studs, then put it back together with new plumbing, wiring, and insulation.

The hay press looks like a project for someone. That is if it's not too far gone.

i dont know about you guys but i could spend all day driving back roads looking at farms and country side scenes.

Howdy, when we were kids after Church, we'd get in the station wagon and go for a leisure drive. Never knew where to or what direction, and depending on the season, either stop for hot cider, or fresh dipped ice cream....
Anybody notice the flag, it musta' been where OB grew up (55) stars.
P.S. the reason the hay press is still there is they probably shot people for stealing. I'm just saying.

Joe,

Might want to count again...There are only 50...

I counted 4 times to be sure I was not missing any. I did miss the man door on the right side of the field of stars on first glance, though.
