My brother came by yesterday, I wanted to run a tractor for him, all the carburated engines have the bowls drained. I decided to start the MH up, it popped right off an ran nice and smooth so I could show off a little. I am looking forward to getting it on a dyno this summer and finish the tuning.

David G,

I watched nearly all of your postings to see what trials you've been through.

Very interesting, and thanks for keeping the updates.

Well Dave you now need a EGR valve and catalytic converter and you will be all external_link approved. LOL

Took the EGR and Cat converter off my Land Rover Discovery, gave me another 4mpg. Took it for its annual test, inspector said he had never tested one with such low emissions. Phil

It probably has pretty high NOx with the 9.5 pistons in there. I really do not like EGR in any sense because it reduces the effiency so much. The computer has an input for an E85 sensor, I am thinking about using that and try it on flex fuel. I would think the NOx would be lower with using that.

We are starting to see some of our customers using DEF on their boilers, otherwise they also use EGR to reduce NOx.
