THATS RIGHT PEOPLE! Today is an action packed day full of excitement and adventure for all!

Here is what my day is looking like so far:

Just slammed an AWESOME bowl of oat meal.
Aced a Physical Science test.
Now am out the door to split a little wood.
After that I am going to practice welding in the shop.
Then MAYBE I can convince my mom to make me lunch.

Now, here is where it gets exciting!

We are leaving shortly after lunch with the Farmall C and Ford 2N, heading for town. Tonight is a big parade to kick off Winter Fest, and dad and I were asked to drive a couple of tractors in the parade, COOL!!! :)

After that whole deal is over, then we get to drive the tractors through town, over to the community hall (where the flat bed will be) load up, and then Casey and I are going to the big monthly Countra Dance!

Sounds like an awesome day to me! Lets see how quickly I can screw it up! :p

What is everyone else up to? Getting ready to party the night away like all farmers do?

I'll be at work listening to customers complain about how much the cost of food has gone up since yesterday.

I had never heard of a bowl of oatmeal being described as AWESOME. We had oatmeal every morning as a kid, until one day Dad said, "Ma, I think we're getting tired of oatmeal. Lets not have it anymore." And we didn't. Dad was AWESOME!

You're day sounds more fun than mine, but not by much. Getting a haircut this morning, then working until about 4 PM, trying to get caught up with stuff I couldn't do yesterday because my printer was on the fritz. But then, Mrs. (WA) and I are headed to a small town (Morton, WA) about 40 miles away, for dinner theatre at their performance venue, as celebration of our 44th wedding anniversary, which was yesterday. Hope I can stay awake for the whole thing.

Going for a drive in the country with my wife and take advantage of this warm weather. Later on I need to load up the 190 for delivery in the morning...then load up the batwing to deliver to Seattle on Sunday. Looks like I'm just burnin fuel....

Sounds like a productive day, with a good ending. Today started with stoking the wood stove downstairs back up again before sunrise, wind was blowing and it was almost -10 again, we've gotten a good dose of artic air in the last month, though there are mild days in between to make use of, not so much today.

I don't know what the temps are we're he lives, but you couldent pay me to drive a tractor in a parade in this weather, today, unless I was in a heated cab! Lol

As of right now it is sitting at about 40, however that is extremely unusual, for example, last year it was 3 today, which is more like what it should be!!

With my insulated flannel, gloves, and some nice boots, I should be more than warm! :)

I would agree 100%, boy was it freezing out there this morning at sunrise, glad I loaded up the wheelbarrow last night! Seems to have calmed on the winds, but this morning was enough to send me back inside indefinitely!

I can remember days like this at the stable, makes you want to close a place like that, just like a summer camp, say December until March at least !

You'll be plenty good in the 40's. It seems some areas of the U.S. have been milder, and or gradually warming up from the south. In the winter of '11-'12, the jet stream kept us warm and there was literally now snow accumulation during the winter months at all. Most we got that season was in October and or November as I recall. Seems to rotate, maybe we'll get a mild one again. Sun is stronger now, so if it warms up, all this snow and winter landscape will go away rapidly, I'll bet like last year, mid march.

PS, that plow you posted about was interesting, given what was said about it, never knew that about JD and their work around Ferguson.

Wedding was on Friday night of the first "manufactured" holiday 3 day weekend- where they moved the holiday to Monday. Presidents day 1971. We were both in college and that way we got a 3 day honeymoon instead of 2.

Took daughter to work at 6:00 am,loaded out 600 bales of straw and then a small load to deliver to a feed store then home for lunch.Going out to replace an ignition switch in a Geo and then pick up daughter from work.Lot to do before next week as thhe Dr wants to open me up and change the pipes going from my heart to my legs. So why don't you come help me and I will serve toast with the oatmeal too. Got lots of tractors to play with if that helps.
