international 1066 speed transmission

Ok dad and I are putting a new ta in the 1066! And we have done them in the past be like 10 years! But we just split the tractor pull the torque housing take it to our local dealer they install it we bring it back put it back together! Well were stomped we can split the torque houseing from the rearend about a inch inch 1/2 and it's like stuck you can shove it back together fine and pull it back out and it stops! Any suggestions or aernt we just ptying hard enough or maybe forgetting something! Any help will be great thanks Brian

Drop the bottom cover below the IDPTO driven gear and use a small pry bar and wiggle the driven gear as you remove the speed transmission . either be ready to catch the gear as it falls out or have something to break the fall before it hits the floor . Some times the speed transmission come wright off and sometimes that gear will drive you to the fridge. to drink the problem over .
