Baling twine

I have no idea where I got last year's twine but it is about to make me crazy. I'm about sure I got it at Orscheln but the more I think about it I can't be positive. It isn't the biodegradable stuff - it is red and white. I have been moving hay and about half of the bales the bottom falls apart because the string at the bottom breaks. None of it is frozen down or even very wet. This is a well drained field. I have stuff beside it from a year older that has that green biodegtadeable stuff and that isn't coming apart. It is sun bleached so it blends in with the hay nicely. I'm over that, but at least I don't have it wrapped around everything and in piles in the cab of the tractor. Are they just making it cheaper or what? I've never had this kind of trouble.

They're making every thing cheaper now for more $$$. Haven't had that problem yet, but of corse, we dont stack on the strings with our 3x3 square bales.

Don't have an answer for you. I do know I don't like that red and clear twine. It seems like it is weaker and breaks easier. I like the Yellow or blue twine. I can see it better and is stronger than the red/clear stuff.
