anybody buy disc blades at SLOAN EXPRESS? are they any good?

Yes, I did. Maybe twenty years ago I did pretty much a whole gang on a JD KBA. It still didn't do me much good to drag the dumb thing around, but the new ones cut just as well as the other gang and held up well.

I don't know, but it wouldn't surprise me if there were only 1 or 2 disc manufacturers left in the U.S. They probably make discs for all the different manufacturers.

Maybe there are some Chinese discs coming into the country, but doubt that the market is large enough for them to muscle in on.

Don't know about them but Agri supply (ASC on the www) sells discs made in Brazil or India. Said to have 250,000 in stock. I have bought numerous disc harrow parts from them and all are top notch. Only thing I don't like is their shipping and handling charges are quite high but the price of the components is very reasonable so it all pretty much balances out.
