Colt AR magazine

Acquired a preban Colt SP1 .223 today Unfired, 1983 model, chrome CMP 20 inch barrel. . Missing Magazine. Anyone know where to get the colt issue mag, with the logo etc on the base?

military surplus is where all mine came from, along with blank ammo, stripper clips & clip holders.

Great find. There are plenty of sites devoted to the AR, as well as the AK and other specific guns. The majority of those sites have forums, where they buy and sell gun related items, as well as other forums where you can post what your looking for.

Yes, Ebay might have a mag listed by someone, but given their thoughts on guns in general, as well as their current idea that it's OK to 'erase' our history by banning certain items, I wouldn't give them my money, when I could give it to someone/a site that was both 1A and 2A friendly.

CTD has pulled them from inventory. I found a couple of original Colts on Gunbroker.com. Spendy little devils.

Took the AR into Cabela's and had their black gun guru look it over. I guess it has the desired bolt carriage group, the highly desired CMP Chrome barrel, bird nest flash suppressor, and all the right pieces in the OD bag in the stock. He ballparked it at 1500 retail.
