International Lonestars

I'm seeing more of these new Internationals on the roads. They're sharp looking trucks for people who like the nostalgia look. But are they a good truck?

Hope the interior isn't shared with the pro star. That was the most inconvenient truck I ever drove.

Air horn button and Jake brake only controlled from the steering wheel. Stupid.
Rocker switches instead of toggles.
Nothing within reach without leaning way forward in the seat. I suppose that's not an issue if you're only about 5'4" though.
Window switches weren't even where you could readily hit them.

Built out of the same components as the other Navistar heavy trucks. Built for the guy that likes looks and is willing to pay for it. Truck for truck at least 6 grand more than the common pro star series. We have tow of them with over 250,000 miles each no problems . Daily use as heavy haulers.

I'm not saying that it is an indication, but the 2003 5900i that I had was very trouble free and comfortable to drive. It was a way more driver friendly truck than the 2005 Mack Granite that I drive occasionally now.
