Been thinking of replacing my implement trailer with a lo-pro speedloader. I would like the opinions from people who have one or have used one. Thanks

Is that a "tilt bed trailer?" I thought about getting one but then I realized I would be going up slope each time I load or unload. It might be difficult if you were loading something with no brakes and you were alone. It could be the builder thought of that and had a provision where the trailer would tilt down when you reached a tipping point.

For myself I want ramps or gate.

You could always park trailer up hill so when it tips no problem. Can also get tilt trailers with hydraulics so you tip it when you want. All my things have brakes. I Don't really see your issues.

You are not supposed to be driving on, it is made for a winch but not included so you could install the model you prefer. Saw one displayed at a show several years ago and wished I had enough money to have bought it. Never seen one after. I have had 3 trailers needing ramps and those ramps are a pain. I have had 2 homebuilt 2 wheel tilt bed trailers with winch, hand powered, and you can load items on tilt bed no way to load with ramps. Wish I could afford it. Just had to replace the one trailer I had that was wrecked July 2 bu a stop sign runner. No signs of a trailer made like that. The only thing is it is heavier than I need or could use with the 5200# axles, mine are 3500# axles and heavy enough for me. Also needed only a 16" trailer not a 20'.

George they are fine if you are loading things with good brakes. I had a full tilt trailer that was bed over the axle. That made the bed much taller. So the bed angle was steeper. I only kept it a few years. It was just too steep to load on to. The other issue was to get the tilt to hit the ground they move the axles forward. This made the trailer too light on the front when it was empty and he hammered on the ball all of the time.

Kaufman makes a good tilt trailer you might want to look into. I was actually just looking into them yesterday. Around 4k will get you a nice tilt.

Have not used that trailer. Have rented a 20' trailer that has a 4' section in the front that is fixed and the 16' section tilts. It works great. Wish I could afford one to keep.

I hate to be the negative Nancy of the group today, but I am going for it!!! :p

I DO NOT LIKE tilt bed trailers.... Granted, they are AWESOME for ONE piece of equipment, but, try to get TWO tractors on one, by yourself? Ya, it's impossible.

Ours is a 20 foot Fox, 10,000 GVW, 70 inches in between the fenders, 5 foot slide out ramps, holding posts in the rear, dual breaks, bumper pull.

I can VERY easily get two tractors on there, narrow or wide front. It is really stable when loading/unloading.

Just all around a nice trailer... Tilt beds are for cars in my opinion, I haul tractors...

Old experienced Bryce has it pretty much correct. They are far better suited for a car. Axles too far forward for my liking. If that was all a person had, I'm sure it would work great, but there are better trailers for all around trailers in my opinion. Bob

For about the same money you can get a nice PJ 14k deck-over with attached ramps. I gave $4600 for this 22ft.

JD,
Thanks, that's what I wanted to know. I'm having the same problem with my 14k implement trailer. When it's empty, I can't hold a cup of coffee while driving. Every little bump kicks the rear of the truck. Put a tractpr on trailer it's very smooth.

I may try adding ballast to the front of my trailer for more tongue weight, then I'll center the tractor a little back to get desired tongue weight.

Now I need to come up with a ballast weight.
