Is this an even trade?

I want to trade my 77 diesel with a 1650 engine and this guy has this gas 88 NF that he might be willing trade for the NF is his the WF is mine would you say this is an even trade? His has dual hydraulics and the one rear is good and the other is 30% the fronts don't have much tread left. By the way mine runs good but the you can't shift into the upper half of gears

Is it an even dollar trade? Probably not. That 1650 engine is worth some bucks to somebody needing one. Is it an even trade if you'd rather have the narrow front 88? Yes,if that fits your needs better for that mounted picker. It's like when I traded that 1020 Deere for a rough Oliver 500 gas. Even in good shape that 500 probably won't be worth what the 1020 was any time soon,but I wanted it.

I personally would never trade a right-side-up tractor for an upside-down one.

Keep the diesel and fix the front tire. I would like the narrow front on a tractor that old though.
