Looks good, M&W live pump and is that a IH front axle? Farmall 350D that I brought home yesterday has the same rear tie rod IH front axle. Looking forward to getting it going and see how much better it turns than the old IH wide front. Good Luck,Mike

Fairbanks-Morse magneto? Wonder what that is off of? Oherwise that old gal looks like it is ready to go to work. Enjoy it.

Sure looks more like a WICO mag to me ?

either way back in the day mag. companies would sell you theirs speced out to fit whatever you needed it for.

Mike. It might be a Wico. I know what the IHC H4 mag looks like. Everything else is a mystery.

dunno bryce.....looks kinda dangerous. i'll give you 50 dollars cash in small unmarked bills and 2 lint covered sourballs and take it off yer hands for ya!!!!! lol
just kidding, nice find!!!!!!!!!

Hey!!! What flavor are the sour balls? :p

I only paid $200 for it, so I think I am doing alright! Want to get the loader off of it so that I can further inspect things... Right now, I have all of the hoses off of the 3 spool valve, and have them marked, just need to pull 4 pins, and carry it away with the backhoe! :)

Looks good, does it run? Is that a IH front end orca Swartz, Just need some sheet metal and fenders! Lol

Nope, has a stuck engine, but, it was running just a few years ago, it is full of green coolant, and the oil is nice looking, so, I think we will have it running in short order...

Wish it had come with sheet metal, that would have been nice, but, oh well!! :)

Well, seeing what you have done in the past, I don't think it will be long and you will have it going! ;) keep us updated. I still have to get my H out and running, the way things are going, I may have to sell it.

Thats quite the compliment there!! Thanks!! :)

Me and dad will have it going before to long... I hope!!! :)

Never sell a farmall!! H is a good machine... I love mine!!

You didn't even by the LOADER on it for $200. You got a deal. With a mag I wouldn't doubt it if ya get it running in a few hours(making a $1000(min) machine)

OH ya... Tires / Weights / Loader / WFE / M&W Pump, all of that is probably worth $1500 as is.... I get it running, it will be a $2000 tractor, at least! We won't ever find out though, because I will never sell it!!! :p

LOL, we had a guy here who sold an M with power steering, nice loader, Cornhusker 3 point, live hydraulics, good tin and OK paint plus near new rubber all around. Also had the wide front. Wanted 2400 and after listing it for about 4 months finally took 1800. That's about 2400 more than I would pay for one like that! I own an M. That's 2 too many IMO.

Hope it fits your needs. I outgrew mine in 2 years and now it sits.

Well, I am very proud of my tractors!! I have worked hard for all that I own, and keep in mind, my "big" work horse this year was a 1952 Super C!!! These M's will be monsters around the neighborhood!!! I can't wait... They are big tractors in our neck of the woods... VERY pleased with them... .;)

good find, crazy good deal.
I have a local very old farmer (family is a BTO now)
that swings by to look at my old tractors.
Today, his farm is all new JD stuff, but he is a Farmall fan too.
When he was young, Farmall farm.
He likes all my Farmalls, but every time, his comment is,
"Gotta get you a M, it was our 'big tractor' back then. Very strong and very tough."

I'll find a good one, but like he said, big tractor.....did the hard work in his day.....hard to find one that isn't worn out...everywhere.

If you noticed I said that I hope it works out for you. I bought the M when I was thinking of making a couple of hundred or so small squares a year would be OK. I quickly outgrew it when I needed to go to round bales. My first round baler called for 70 PTO HP! Plus without power steering or a decent seat it wasn't any fun to operate. You are young so you should be OK.

M is a big one there? Here we have guys with MFWA 200-250 HP tractors they call "yard tractors". They use them to blow snow and run grain augers. Their work tractors are 4X4s running 500+HP.

How did you do with the NH baler?

Rick

Ohhhh ya! I totally believe you!!!

Around here. 20 acres is a huge field. I now have a 5, a 1, and maybe a 6 acre field. The 6 is going to be considered large!

The neighbors hayed 60 acres, and I think that the only field that was bigger than 5 acres was the 25 right at the farm, and everyone around here is amazed at that! :p

The M is a well deisered beast around here, and something to think about, is that all of my M's (except this one) have come from a LONG ways away, where there are real farms. Around here JD B's, Farmall H's, etc, are the big tractors, and were the most popular back in the day...

That 272 New Holland I asked about on here? He wasn't wanting to work on the price at all, and it was a little too far away for my liking, and for some reason, the little voice was just saying "nooooooo, I don't think so buddy"..... SO, believe it or not! I listened!!! :p

Bryce, I had a Du Al loader for 39 years and had it on and off the tractor numerous times. At first I removed it by pulling the four pins and disconnecting all those hoses but after doing that a few times I found out taking the whole shebang off from the rear axles forward is not any harder and then everything is off the tractor and disconnecting only two hoses is involved. You have the backhoe to lift it above the front axle as you back the tractor out of it. I had to use a block and tackle under a tree limb. Real "shade tree" operation huh!

Thats how it's done!! :)

Actually, I wanted to leave the frame on there for now, because it is the "resivor" for the hydraulic fluid. Without it, I would need to rig up something else to be able to use the pump! NOW I am going to make 2 sets of steel lines, and run them to the back of the tractor, so that when I have the loader off, I have 2, or even 3 remotes if I wanted to. And when I have the loader on, I still have one! (because I won't be using the remotes on the loader)... Sounds like a pretty good plan to me!

NOW I just need to make one of them run!!! :p
