Yesterday morning at 6 AM I headed the Grand Prix Pontiac 130 miles west and north to Olpe,KS....The purpose was to attend the Flint Hills Antique Power Association plow day held 6 miles east of Olpe,KS..It was held in a large field nearly 1 mile long in the Eagle Creek bottoms...After a rain had cancelled it the week before the soil was in perfect condition for plowing....It was a beautiful sunny fall day with a temperature of around 60 degrees..Everyone was very friendly and I was invited to stay for dinner but had to leave as I had other places to go..It was lots of fun....Thanks guys...By the way they had a great Oliver dealer in nearby Emporia..One collector has 60 of them..They were going to pick some corn after dinner...When I left the next farm to the north had a G-706 MM FWA hooked on to a 4-5 bottom trail plow sitting in the yard..Next year I may haul one out and join them..

Those old tractors are really nice. Just as good as new if not better. Enjoyable. Thanks for posting.

Where's the rocks? Here in NE Pa we plow up soil and rock when we plow. Sure would like to plow in that soil for one day. Very nice, plowing is my favorite thing to do on a tractor. Thanks for the pictures, I'm ready to go out and plow.

Everyone of them looks to have a low tire on one side... Guess they cant afford air. (sic)

Grreat looking tractors...

This looked like it was one of the most level fields of a plowing I have seen. At Rantoul and other places there are 12" to 18" plows, plowing from 3" to 12" deep. Then it is chiseled at an angle to level.

Good pictures. What was the yellow machine at an angle behind the D?

I'm not sure what that yellow machine is...This was much easier plowing than HCOP at Rantoul......I was there in 2009-2011-2013....Once the guys got their plows set at Olpe they did a good job...I hope to join them next year with a 1953 E-5 Coop pulling a 3x14 IH thats only plowed 300 acres..
