Where do you hide Christmas gifts?

Previous post about the poster wondering where his wife hides all the gifts she"s bringing out got me to thinking...where do you hide yours? I used to use the fertilizer boxes on the JD 7000 planter, or the back end of the Gleaner combine. Kids never did figure it out!

Santa came by today and put a new bike in my camper.
I did not look at it but I think it is for my grandson that lives next store.

My wife has been hunting the house.
I told her if she could find the gift she could have it.
It is wrapped and under my daughters tree (next store) with my grandson's name on it.

My wife KNEW I was going to give her a replacement engagement/wedding ring set for Christmas a few years ago. I took her to the jeweler and had him measure her finger for the rings. I then took her home. LOL Talk about being in the dog house. LOL Anyway she knew I had them so she took the house a part, top to bottom. She even went through the shop as well. She never checked the top of the medicine cabinet. She is 5 foot nothing and could not see anything up there.

Yeah, top of the medicine cabinet is a fine place. I found some perfume up there that I knew I had bought, but couldn't remember where I put it. I eventually convinced myself that I just "thought" I had purchased it.

Found it the next year. Obviously my wife does't dust up there often.

Sometimes I put them in the car trunk. I am the only on that drives my work car I also put them in the shop or pole shed. Another good place has been in the basement. Our basement is partially finished so I hide stuff between the floor joist. There have been times that I have hid gifts that I cannot remember where I put them. A few years ago I was working in Tennessee and bought my wife a cast iron decoration. Hauled it home in my backpack on the airplane. It felt like I had an extra ten pounds on my back. I hid it so my wife would not find it. He birthday was in October and I could not find it. I could not find it for Christmas either. The next July I finally found it.

All the good spots the kids figured out a long time ago.
Now I hide things in there own closets or under their beds.
They can tear the whole house apart and don't think to look right under there nose.
Its not like they clean up there rooms often enough either.

I only need to buy for my wife. I don't have that problem I usually wait until the last couple days. If I do buy something I just put it on my work bench, and lay something over it. Stan

Wife had a "cookie exchange" at work. She brought home a grocery sack of cookies, put them in the oven. I preheated the oven for my TV dinner a couple days later, the bag caught fire and the plastic baggies melted nicely into the cookies inside. No more hiding stuff in the oven around here.

Neighbor used to use the inside of a threshing machine he had stored in the machine shed. I think it was more so to hide his collection of ertl toys he'd buy for himself, from his wife.
