Goodland Greenline Kansas

Hello,

I recently purchased a tractor (McCormick-Deering WD9) which the previous owner had purchased from Goodland Greenline in Kansas. For the registration of this tractor at the DMV I need some additional info and a copy of the bill of sale between Goodland Greenline and the previous owner.
The problem is that I believe this company no-longer exists.. (email-adresses don't work, website appears to be gone..)
Is there anybody here who knows this company or would be able to get me in touch with these people?

Thank you!

Dealers and CaseIH corporate are unlikely to have the information. I do not know where you are operating the tractor, but in the US there is no DMV registration for farm tractors that I have knowledge of. The records that existed from IHC were tossed (or given to the Wisconsin Historical Society) when IHC AG division was sold. If the dealer folded, there will be little chance of finding info. Jim

I would guess its now American Implement. What state are you in? We can give you better answers for your location but need to know. Most states do not require registration, but there are a few that do.

I live in Belgium, the tractor was imported as a used tractor. Need to get the paperwork done so I can get her insured and put a license-plate on her..

By the way, you where right!
Company still exists, just changed names tot American Implement.
The guy on the Bill of sale is even on the home-page.

Thanks a lot!!

Both my grandfather and grandmother on my fathers side came from Roselaere in western Flanders not too far from the English channel and spoke Flemish. What town are you from?

Goes back to Nazi occupation. They had to register wives, kids, guns, autos, tractors, radios, typewriters, cameras and finally fountain pens and pencils.. LOL,

OK, you mentioned Nazi occupation and fountain pens. I have some great trivia. Hitler had contracted a French designer to develop a fountain pen for his personal use. The designer came up with a beautiful pen that came to be the Mont Blanc (white mountain)company. It was and still is very recognizable by its logo, the top of a mountain on the top of the pen.
What Hitler didn't know, was the French designer was a Jew and he sublimely put the Star of David on the top and said it was a mountain top.
Hitler carried around a fountain pen with the Star of David on it.

Quite a lot of em around tot be honest, especially around these parts.
I'm from Zottegem ,( in betweenbetween Aalst and Oudenaarde, which is wellknown amongst cyclists because of the tour de Flanders)

I don't believe it had much tot do with nazis and such..
Just politicians trying tot steal your money at every corner.
Had to re-apply for paperwork on one of my tractors because it was 185 pounds too heavy. Considering they weighed it while my dad was sitting on it (weighing exactly 185 pounds). Told them they where wrong, after that they swiftly posted a document saying my chassisnumber was wrong. Leaving me with a tractor that's uninsurable and basically a fancy paper-weight... Almost got that sorted now after 3-4 years.

Until the 90s you had to in New Jersey. Still got a bunch of old plates from my grandfather. They used to give you a new metal plate with the year stamped in every year during the 40s and 50s, then somebody finally figured out you could put a new year sticker on the same plate over and over. Still have the original titles for the 1953 NAA and 1959 MF65 around here somewhere. I also bought a 1947 Farmall H at auction back in 2002 that had the original title with it. I don't know how the tractor jockeys who brought used ones in from the Midwest dealt with titles or lack thereof back in the day.

Here in NH we have to register tractors, but you don't need tile information for anything that is over 15 years old. If it is newer and you don't have the previous owner info they have a form for you to fill out, it get's submitted and in a few days you can register.
