Long 445 Clutch Assembly

I have a Long 445 with a double clutch. I need the pressure plate and both clutches. The discs are 10". The pressure plate has 3 fingers. The bolt holes are half inch. I would appreciate it if one of you could point me in the right direction. Thanks.

Walter

Hello Walter. I recently bought a 445. haven't worked it yet, but seems to be tough machine. out of respect to this site, I try here first, but see no listing for long. I found 'long parts.com'-1-888-506-2190 haven't used them yet, but they had some nice pics of something I was interested in. Tell me about your 445. had it long? LOL--I read that clutch can be weak link. so far my main gripe is getting my big feet between floorboard & fender & turn to mount--[plan to modify that]--also gearshift is goofy, think maybe wear in shift cover---good luck

If worse comes to worse you might try a clutch rebuilding place. You can send your old one in or they may have one in stock.

I checked with my supplier of re-mans, they are R&R only, no done ones. He cautioned me to tell you to make sure that whoever is machining your flywheel that the 3/8" and 1/2" bolt clutches use a different step dimension. 1/2" bolt clutches use 1.030" step. According to them it is the same clutch as used in some Allis 5040 so re-check this site.

Maybe rrlund can expound here. Last year when a friend was working on a G450 MM he found some internal parts for the 40 year old tractor through CNH at the CaseIH dealer. As IanC said it should be the same as a 5040 and is in that FIAT/ UTB family.

Correct. The MM450 was built by Fiat and was the same tractor as an Oliver and Cockshutt 1365 and White 1370. From what I've been told,Fiat still uses that design in some of the CaseIH and New Holland tractors. The Long 445 and 5040 Allis I believe were built by UTB in Romania, but were the same basic design as the Italian built Fiat.

Call Robbie at Joe's Tractor Sales in Thomasville, NC. They are a former Long dealer. I
have a 360 and 445.
