Head gasket on McCormick Deering 15-30

Gonna put the 15-30 back together soon and the new head gasket is a dense fiber material with no metal on it anywhere. Should we spray it with copper coat like I do all head gaskets on old tractors?
Never used a head gasket that had no metal anywhere.
We are going to have the head surfaced.

I like coppercoat on untreated fiber gaskets.

I believe the old-timers used grease, but copper cote should be fine.

Thanks for the replies. I can get Copper Coat in town tomorrow when I go to the chiropractor.

I replaced the head gasket on my JD D with an aftermarket fiber gasket. I used coppercoat as I always have. It blew after about 15 hours. Replaced it with a John Deere gasket with metal on both sides. No more problems. Just my experience.
