Feeder cattle prices???

Its time to start negotiating with the buyers for feeder cattle this spring. When the grass starts to green up is when I empty the barn. What are any of you seeing? Any predictions or current sale numbers? I hate trying to come up with a price before the spring flush, but buyers want to get a "feel" for what 2016 spring prices will be. Thanks,, Al

I was at the sale on Monday. Feeders were around 2.45 - about 4 higher. Overbrook livestock in NE KS.

They are selling a little better than they were a couple of month's ago. There are alot of variables in SMO/NAR area. Good prevac 500# steers are selling in the $2-2.15 range. Eared calves are considerably less.Any calves that aren't nnalert or wormed are 10-20 cents less.

I just locked in 6 weights for $1.75 plus freight. These are Hereford-Angus cross calves.
