Well seems KIM no longer services this gear box so by chance does any body have one of these gear boxes they would be willing to part with??

Got the whole thing with 2 augers used to fit on jd 50 don't have tractor anymore was going to send it to scrap yard . Sw wisc

All I really need is the 2 bevel gears in the box. I'm in Missouri so shipping the whole thing would get costly but if you will part with the gears I'd love to get them if good of course

Do you have any equipment dealers in the area that come to Hennessey auction in Dodgeville wi?I think they have a place in Cape Girardeau maybe wrong spelling but I know one guy got stuff moved to Tennessee that way.

Darn to far down I was hoping for a road trip . It would be nice to see her go to a good home. I'll look around and maybe I can either send the gears or the whole unit. Got some ideas .

Ya all I need is the gears or the gear box. The gears would fit in a flat rate postal box but the gear box would not. Or at least I do not think it would. I was getting ready to fix some of the fences the floods washed out but with out this post auger it will be hard to set corner posts

How far north could you come I'm in darlington in sw wisc maybe meet someplace in middle I was checking hauling page seems a few possible ones there.
Just thinking I know about digging post been doing that lately with bad shoulder. Fortunately most of my dirt is black the only rocks I got are what the neighbor's through over fence

Given that the parts you seek, Rich, are seemingly made of unobtainium, it might be worth the shipping or travelling involved to return your tool to a usable state. This may turn out to be your only opportunity to locate these parts. Since the one who possesses those parts is willing to work with you, the time, distance, and cost may become secondary. Just my humble little opinion.

Travel for me is pretty much a no no due to my bad back and my doctor says 100 mile or so then stop for at least and hour before driving more and when I do much more I sure as heck know it for days after.

Well as I have said I do not need to whole machine just the gear box. This is on a home made rig that will make a hole about 5 foot deep. I could use the back hoe to do the holes but that is way over kill

The latest Burden Surplus catalog has new 44 Hp post hole gear boxes in their catalog (last page). They ship.
Call for their catalog if you don't already get one. I think they are in Lincoln Nebraska.

Nope the gear box I have is a sort of square box with the PTO coming in the front and the auger then going down at a 90 for the PTO

Yup, you got me. Burden Surplus was their old name, now it is Surplus Center. Phone 800-474-5198. Their recently mailed catalog is #289, and the gear box is on page 195, their item #13-1525. Output shaft is 2" diameter.

Maybe works for you??
