I have a couple of old tires in a size that hasn't been made in years that have cuts on the sidewalls. I see some aces advertising that they can repair sidewall damage using a vulcanized process. Anyone had any tires repaired using this process? The ties I have are weather checked and I don't know if this will affect the process. Anyone know or have any experience with this?

Old is not worth the effort. I have had tires fail when 10 years old from cracks getting moisture into the steel/nylon/polyester, or other cord material. What
you gain in usability is lost in labor/cost/and eventual failure. A cracked tire is doomed. If it is irreplaceable, and none are made, and it will be looked at

What size you talking about?? I know of a place tha towns many of the old tire dies and makes the old size tires

About 12 years ago I had one done, it is still holding and kinda hard to find.
But, It was in good shape.
Now I have a break in the tire on the other side, and I plan to have it fixed as well.
Vulcanizing works good, the process that is. But I think they have to have something to work with.

It would not surprise me if he could not get them or have them made. I know back when I worked for him I needed a set of 4.00X36 tires and he could get hem but at $400 each I had to pass. If the web site I put up did not work I could maybe get his phone number. My e-mail is always open
