Hey Guys
Will be visiting my nephew over Labor Day this year. Looking for
advice on good ag related museums to visit in the Detroit area. Industrial related museums would be great also. Thanks

The Henry Ford Museum is amazing place. I'm a Ford guy, was assuming it would just be Ford products. Boy was I wrong, there is so much to see & do there its unreal. I love going to factory since we don't have anything like that out Western Cdn, but the factory tour was a turd I think. But that's my view of it, barely get to see anything in the factory unlike others I have been to. The Old Model T factory on Piquette Avenue is worth while going to. People have don't a great job bringing that building back from the dead.

If you see a lot of razor wire along fences & buildings, you need to put it in high gear & haul!

As others said, a visit to the "Henry Ford", aka the Ford Museum is mandatory. It consists of the museum itself and Greenfield Village, a collection of historic buildings. You really need two days to see them both; if you only have time to do one the museum should be your first priority. You can also get tickets for the Ford Rouge factory tour there.

If your nephew is comfortable driving in downtown Detroit, I recommend you give it a visit. Yes, there are some incredibly dangerous areas in the city, so I don't recommend you go there on your own without someone who knows the area well. But there is some quite interesting architecture in Detroit, both in downtown and along Woodward Avenue, the oldest paved highway in the US. I always take visitors to the Guardian building, a 1929 skyscraper with a stunning lobby and exterior. You should also visit the Riverwalk and the Renaissance Center, home of GM. The Coach Insignia restaurant is at the top of the RenCen, although the restaurant is expensive you can just go to the bar and have a beer.

Dearborn, where Greenfiled village and the ford museum is not the best part of town.
There is the space deal in Jackson. Can't remember the name of it. The bridge crossing in Mackinaw City will be the 9Th About 250 miles north of there. Good show with I heard about 1200 tractors singed up now.
