I wish it was a nice old blue pickup. It isn't, but something I've been wanting about as bad. Drove to the Iowa line and picked up a calf catcher. I've only had one of my fall calves and it was stillborn. No need to fire up the contraption for that one! There are still 29 more to try it on this fall.

I know, I know - it's from my phone. Hold your head sideways!

Most of our mamas are tolerant of us working on their calves.
The few that are not would probably try to fold or flip that rig on top of me.

I don't think you will have any regrets with it, this was our first spring using one and I was impressed on how well they work. I only had one cow that bumped the back gate, none tried to jump in or push it at all. I had a 450 foreman honda on ours, handle it real well, we did have some spring mud, but it manuvered real well. I don't know if its just our cows, but about 80% of the calves we hauled to a different lot, the cows would run along side with their nose down by the little wheel, bellaring the whole way, down right comical.
