Case thresher

Working on a case thresher and need to know where I might find parts (modern replacements or good used). The auger is shot in the first foot, better to replace all (if the rest is good) or kids cut off fluting and make replacement and weld on? The grain tube tube has multiple holes. Does somebody make them or do I have to fab things up? Pics later. They aren't working.

The clean grain auger can be made from 6" irrigation pipe. Same size and the aluminum pipe won't rust.

There are many places you can order auger flighting on line. You just need the diameter and pitch you want. Usually comes in 3 or 4 foot lengths. Not to bad for price either.

As for the tube. If you would post the diameter it would narrow the choices. If it is a common size like 6" 8" 10" then auger tubing is easy to find. For other size you can get them made out of sheet steel and have it rolled. There again it depends on how long you need it to be.

There would be few parts made for the thresher but many that could be modified to work. They were a simple machine. Close to the same as a modern combine without the driveline.

Ok, another question. How close should the flutin be to the inside edge of the tube? Should it rub, 1/4" gap or??
