Anyone know about Howard brand bush hogs

Been looking for a small bush hog, found a Howard brand 42", looks heavy duty in the photos but have never herd of the brand & cant find anything on the internet about them, does anyone know about this brand.
 
Howard built attachments for farmall cubs , however what you found I am unsure of do you have pictures or any other information ?

Howard made heavy duty rotovators....maybe it is a Howse??
 
42" Howard M/N; E 42 LT

Looks like it's very heavy duty, built like my 7' Hardee, gearbox is normal size, may have been special built.
 
I've used them. They used to be a good strong unit. We call them slashers over here.
However the quality did drop off and they got made cheaper. Ended up the gearbox housing was fabricated, and not very strong. In hard work I have even seen the bottom area where the lower bearing and seal run get knocked out of round. Put a new seal in to cure the oil leak and the oil leaked out past the outside of the seal! It was that much out of round.

Light work, they may be ok

I have no experience with this brand. Look at the thread that just appeared about sharpening. In that thread there was a comment about the ease of removing blades. I thought that was a good comment as they can be difficult at best.

Also, some like JD/Frontier have a double top. That adds a lot of strength and does not show if the blade hits a rock and glances off the inner top or hull.

I am curious about the 42". I did have a 52" once with a JD 855 tractor. 42" seems really small.

Mine is a Woods 60" I run on my JD 3320.
