Got the freightliner hooked to the 40 foot trailer. Taking a day off drilling wheat to go pick up my new truck. Grandpas 1935 1 1/2 ton Chevy. I haven't seen it in 30 years but was finally able to talk my uncle into selling it. I'll believe it's true when I pull back in the barnyard tonight.

Here is a picture of my Grandpa and one of his trucks......kinda hard to see much with all my aunts on the hood!

Most old trucks in that era had the doors removed for air conditioning. Those old doors are valuable!

Case, did you know you can have that photo fixed!

Somehow they make a copy, take out all the damage, might even sharpen it up.

Doesn't cost much and you get your original back!

This just in - Leapin' Leana is in the barnyard. It was a long day - especially when it gets dark at 5pm! Looks like from the title that my uncle got it from grandpa in '64.

After looking it over I think I'm going to try to preserve it just as it is. The front fenders are both cracked and need welded so they don't worsen. I'm not sure what to do from that point. She's solid red but I know some came with black fenders and running boards. I could fix those fenders and shoot that black and keep the rest for Sweetfeet.

I ordered a carb and fuel pump kit last week so I should have her running this week. It needs a good power washing underneath and the mechanical brakes adjusted. It will make a good winter project.
