Which led to the siege by thousands of Mexican troops and defense of the Alamo by 182 brave and courageous souls, eventually falling on March 6, 1836.
If you have never been it is worth the trip. I have been three times and the feeling when you walk in and around the place is indescribable. The outcome of this battle and the one at San Jacinto shaped the United States and world for all time!
