High View In The Hundred Acre Woods

Took a shot of Grandpa's farm this afternoon. Just on the edge of what I have referred to as "the hundred acre woods". That is the more open side of the farm in this photo. The real woods is below and behind the camera. Temp was almost 30 degrees this afternoon but my fingers were still getting pretty cold on the remote control levers by the time I'd done the flight.

If you stand on the roof of that house, you can see most of Saskatchewan (allowing for the curvature of the earth - which eliminates almost 1/2). Been there. Somewhere about 1/2 way through the joint (flat as the eye can see), on Hwy 401, there is a sign (pointing North) that says "Ski Hill". Near about pooped my skivvys when I saw that in '69 on a trans Canada trip.

Great pics rusty.
What drone is that. What is the range and approximately what did it cost?

These are such neat photos, Rusty6.

Boy, neighbors are rather sparse up there.

Do you ever see Winnie the Pooh or Tigger in the hundred acre wood? :)

Where are you at in Saskatchewan. I go thru there every year on my way to our vacation home in Faro Yukon Canada Gerald

Back in 2002 we purchased a tractor North of Churchbridge and near a little town called Calder. You picture sure brings back memories of that trip as the terrain is similar.

Sounds like you only saw the flat part of Sask. Its not like that here. Rolling parkland with lots of ups and downs. Just beyond that house in the pic is where my mother and uncles used to call the "ski hill". Just a steep creek side and not that long but they had a lot of fun sliding on the snow there years ago. I think of it when I cut hay there now. Got to watch how I drop the bales or they could roll down into the trees.

No , just me and the wildlife. Actually the nearest neighbour is almost in sight behind the trees half a mile away. Used to be a lot more and closer when my grandfather built that house but times have changed.
